Topics - A unique Perspective

I truly enjoy speaking with groups on a variety of topics that I am willing to "fit" into your event and timeframe.   The talks I have given over the years are designed to be uplifting and from a perspective rarely seen.  I speak as a father, teacher, technology geek, former military, friend, and someone who believes we can all be better if we fully engage whatever it is we are experiencing! 


Some of the topics I cover:
  • Having A College Aged Young Person In Your Home
    A talk for parents or gaurdians about to have a college aged young person enter college.  I give insight and observations to help you support them to they can succeed and learn about what college is like today.
  • Your Time - Engage
    A talk geared for high school students and new college students that reminds them of what it means to become a better version of themself and engage in the experience known as college.  
  • Cyber Respect and Anti Bullying for Middle School Students
    This talk is presented to middle school kids (or others) and makes them aware of what the internet is, how it tracks, and how to be respectful to one another in this Social Media centered world.
  • Dreaming Again? - A Productivity Talk for Young Professionals
    We all had dreams at one time when we were kids.  What happened?  In this talk we talk about getting distracted but how to get back on task and begin dreaming again about how we see ourselves.
  • How To Apply A Simple Gamification Technique In Your Class
    This hands on talk explains why I needed to create a more engaging classroom event and how I applied a technique known as gamification to do it. 
  • Using Technology in the Classroom
    In this talk I present technology trends and discuss where it is leading, how to embrace it and not fear it, and have a little fun along the way.
  • When Did This Happen? - A View of Technology From a 1970's Kid
    No one knows exactly what the world will look like in 20 years but I give a fun talk on where we have been with technology, where we are, and where we are going.  It is given from my personal account of "tech in my life".
